Rangers have been drawn with SPL leaders Motherwell in the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup.
Ally McCoist's side will host Motherwell at Ibrox in the week beginning 24th September after coming through a second-round tie with Falkirk.
Elsewhere, last season's runners-up Celtic are at home to First Division side Raith Rovers, while Stenhousemuir's reward for beating holders Kilmarnock is a home tie with Inverness.
Second Division Queen of the South host Dundee United and Queen's Park - the lowest-ranked club left in the draw - visit St Johnstone.
Hearts are at home to Livingston, Aberdeen go to Dunfermline and St Mirren host Hamilton in the remaining ties.
