Gobern and Gow hoping to impress Ince

Skysports.com understands Lewis Gobern and Alan Gow are taking in trial spells at Notts County. The pair are aiming to impress Magpies boss Paul Ince, who is looking to bolster his ranks over the coming weeks. Gobern is a 25-year-old winger who has been without a club since being released by Grimsby on 7th January. He has plenty of Football League experience under his belt, though, having previously turned out for Wolves, Hartlepool, Blackpool, Bury, Colchester and MK Dons. Gow has attracted interest from other clubs since he was released by Motherwell, but is closing on a contract at Meadow Lane. The 28-year-old midfielder is a former Scotland B international who has represented the likes of Rangers, Blackpool and Plymouth over the course of his career. Both men are believed to have caught Ince's eye with their efforts so far and are expected to be offered full-time deals.
