Well striker hoping money can be found for extension

Motherwell striker Alan Gow has confirmed he is keen to extend his short-term contract at Fir Park beyond January. The former Plymouth forward has made a good impression at the club, but he is only contracted until the middle of January. Manager Craig Brown has confirmed he wants Gow to stay on and the pair have held talks, although no deal has been put on the table. Gow knows the purse strings are tight at the SPL club, however, he is eager to extend his stay and score more goals.

"I've spoken to the manager but the club will dictate what happens," he said. "At the moment they don't have much to spend. "I am out of contract on January 15, the manager wants me to stay, I'd like to stay but we don't know what the finances will be like. "Hopefully I can get it sorted. I need to stay fit and play football."
