Sky Blues keen to keep youngster

Coventry boss Chris Coleman has revealed that he turned down a loan request from Isaac Osbourne. The 22-year-old has grown frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at the Ricoh Arena this season. He was therefore keen to secure a move away from the Sky Blues ahead of Thursday's emergency loan deal deadline. However, Coleman has refused to sanction a switch, insisting the youngster remains part of his short-term plans. "I spoke with Isaac in the week when he came to speak to me and I feel for him because he wants to play in central midfield, although I feel he can do a good job at right-back, and so does he, but he just wants to play," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph. "We had a good, positive chat and I explained to him that I will try to give him a game in the centre of the park and then it is up to Isaac, and he came on and did a good job against Doncaster on Saturday albeit for 15-20 minutes. "He stuck in there and won some important tackles because he is a strong boy, and he pulled the game up for us, and we will see how he goes between now and the end of the season."
