Middlesbrough's Scott McDonald insists that he has no intentions of quitting the club after being linked with a move to Asia.
The Australia international is known to be the highest-paid player at The Riverside, and has two years remaining on his contract.
Over the past 18 months Boro have been slashing their budgets as they continue to adapt to life outside the Premier League.
Whilst manager Tony Mowbray has used McDonald regularly during his tenure, it is not thought that he would stand in his way should an offer come in.
Indeed news of interest from Asia will have been welcomed by Boro - but Sky Sports understands talk of a bid from Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal are wide of the mark.
And McDonald himself insists he has no intention of leaving the club, saying: "I don't want to go to Saudi, China, Dubai or anywhere else.
"Promotion might not have happened for Boro this season but there's always next year.
"I still have the hunger and desire to play at the highest level I can in the UK."
