Hearts forward John Sutton is on his way to Australia after the Central Coast Mariners confirmed a four-month loan deal has been agreed. The 28-year-old was recommended to the A-League side by former Rangers defender Craig Moore and is expected to link up with his new team next week. Sutton began his career with Tottenham but has enjoyed most of his success north of the border, scoring 10 or more Scottish Premier League goals for Motherwell in each of the past three seasons. However, things have not worked out so well for the Englishman at Hearts and with the Edinburgh club keen to reduce their wage bill, Sutton was attracted by the prospect of a new challenge. Graham Arnold, Mariners head coach, told the club's official website: "The exposure of giving him the opportunity to play in the A-League and also the ACL (Asian Champions League) was very appealing to him. "He comes out with a record of a goal every two-and-a-half to three games in Scotland and we're looking forward to John coming out and adding not only another set of legs but quite a deal of experience for our front line."
