Neil Lennon has labelled reports linking Celtic with Motherwell striker John Sutton as speculation. Well are keen to retain the out of contract marksman, although a number of clubs are hopeful of acquiring his services. His brother Chris played for six seasons for the Parkhead club and Celtic have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old. While Lennon admits Sutton has enjoyed a very good season, he played down reports the club could move for the striker. It is understood Sutton will make a decision on his future following the Scottish Cup final against Celtic on May 21.

"John is a good player. I've known him for a while," said Lennon. "He has had a very good season but it is speculation more than anything else. "I am not going to talk about targets at the minute. "I'm just going to talk about what I have to do in the next two weeks."
