MOTHERWELL are hoping to seal a deal with Bastia for goalkeeper Fabien Audard.

The 25-year-old is currently third-choice at The Armand-Cesari-Furiani and is now set for a move to Fir Park.

Well and Bastia are negotiating a cooperation, which could see players from each club swapping in the future, and Audard could be the first to move between the two.

Motherwell want Audard to see for the rest of this season and the whole of the next campaign, but the French club want to reassess the situation after three months as they may need the player back.

Their current number one Nicolas Penneteau has been linked with a move away from the club and if he leaves then Audard will be required to return.

Paris Saint German have previously been linked with Penneteau.
