Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle shared the points as it finished goalless in the Highland derby at Victoria Park.
Chances were at a premium in front of a near-capacity 6,300 crowd as the home side - looking to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games - made a bright start in Saturday's SPL clash.
The in-form Ivan Sproule made inroads down the flank before teeing up Evangelos Ikonomou, but the Greek defender's shot was deflected wide.
The visitors came close in the 29th minute when a Graeme Shinnie corner fell to Ross Draper but Rocco Quinn was on hand to clear the danger.
County's Iain Vigurs and Caley Thistle's David Raven were booked following a tangle and shortly after the two managers - Derek Adams and Terry Butcher - were involved in a heated exchange on the touchline.
However openings were in short supply until County's Mihael Kovacevic made room when he cleverly got away from Shinnie but his rising drive from 20 yards flashed wide.
The Caley Thistle bench were screaming for a penalty when Shinnie went down under a challenge from Ikonomou - but all that was forthcoming for the Inverness man was a card for simulation.
County had a chance to win it in the final moments when the ball fell for Richard Brittain on the edge of the area but he blasted off target.
