Sekajja rewarded following his dramatic debut impact

Crystal Palace teenager Ibra Sekajja has secured a two-year professional contract at Selhurst Park. The striker enjoyed a stunning impact on his Palace debut when coming off the bench to score the equaliser against Hull City in April which confirmed the club's Championship survival. Sekajja, who also scored 24 goals for the Under 18s this term, has come through the successful Academy system. Manager Dougie Freedman told the club's official website: "I can remember when he was in my office and I told him he would be one of the players who would be given a professional deal, there was a tear in his eye as my explanation was sinking in. "He has been with us for years, I remember coaching him when he was 13. "We don't just pick these kids up from anywhere - we get them when they are young and work hard to develop them. That's the way we work at Crystal Palace." Jake Caprice has penned a one-year professional contract while Charlie Holness has signed a one-year deal having been on a similar contract for a year already.
