Dundee United will begin the 2014/15 season with a tough trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on 9 August.

United finished fourth in the table last season, one place below Aberdeen, and both sides will be looking for an improvement next term.

A midweek home game with Motherwell on August 13 is followed by a trip to Glasgow to take on defending champions Celtic three days later.

The first Dundee derby of the campaign comes up on September 20 when Jackie McNamara takes his side to Dens Park, with United then hosting St Johnstone a week later.

December sees United play Celtic at Tannadice on the 20th, with a trip to McDiarmid Park to face St Johnstone coming up a week later.

The New Year kicks off with the return fixture against Dundee, back in the top-flight after winning the Scottish Championship last season.

Other key fixtures include the second home fixture with St Johnstone on February 21, with another trip to Celtic Park coming up on March 21.

Another short trip down Tannadice Street to Dens Park is scheduled for April 8, with the final day of the regulation season before the split takes effect bringing Hamilton to Tannadice on April 11.
