Dundee United's Barry Douglas is ready to answer his manager's call and keep up his recent impressive form.
Douglas, 23, is out of contract in the summer and has been urged by boss Peter Houston to give him no choice but to give him a new deal.
The Terrors' defender is now looking for consistency after playing a key role in the 3-3 draw with Kilmarnock.
His season has been disrupted due to a family bereavement, but the full-back is now back in the first team and ready to respond to his manager's challenge.
"I would like to stay. I need to keep playing well and I definitely need consistency, as the manager said. But I have got to stay in the team, first and foremost," said Douglas.
"Things haven't gone the way I had hoped through personal issues. But I've now got closure and can concentrate completely on my football. "
