Caldwell thinks win against Macedonia is now vital

Scotland debutant Paul Dixon felt it was important to have avoided defeat following the goalless draw with Serbia at Hampden Park. Both sides had chances to win the World Cup qualifying Group A opener on Saturday afternoon but there was a lack of quality in front of goal. However, Huddersfield Town defender Dixon, who was the man of the match against Serbia, took the positives from the point gained. "I enjoyed it a lot, it was a dream come true to pull on the Scotland shirt," Dixon told Sky Sports. "It's a point. We've not lost which is the main thing. We made chances and in another game we might have taken those chances." His captain, Gary Caldwell, was pragmatic and believes Tuesday's match against Macedonia is now a must-win. "It is a point and we need to try and build on that," he said. "We've got to go out there and get three points. Macedonia are below us and we need go out and win."
