Bottom place Dumbarton cause a First Division upset as they took the points from Falkirk in an eventful 4-3 victory.

Lyle Taylor scored a hat-trick for the hosts in a match that also saw Dumbarton pair James Lister and Scott Agnew net a brace each.

Both teams finished the game with 10 men, with Falkirk losing Darren Dods (67) while Dumbarton's James Creaney walked eight minutes from time.

An eventful first half ended with a goal flurry as Taylor (43) headed home from close range two minutes before Lister netted in a similar manner for Dumbarton.

Dods was given a straight red after dragging Garry Fleming down in the box and Agnew sunk the penalty before he finished a counter-attack nine minutes later.

Creaney was dismissed after a clash with Taylor and Lister appeared to put the game well beyond Falkirk four minutes later with a header.

There was still time for Taylor (86) to finish from close range and then head home a corner a minute from the end, but Dumbarton held on.
