Dunfermline beaten at home as Raith win again

Steven Lawless' first-half goal secured Partick Thistle a 1-0 victory over Dunfermline at East End Park. Raith Rovers moved up to second in the nascent First Division after recording a 2-0 success at winless Falkirk following goals from Allan Walker and Pat Clarke either side of half-time. Hamilton and Morton both finished with 10 men in a 1-1 draw in their clash at New Douglas Park. David O'Brian gave Morton the lead and their prospects were further boosted when Hamilton's Alex Neil was sent off. However, Ali Crawford equalised for Hamilton before Morton's Michael Tidser was sent off four minutes from time. Lewis Coult and Greig Stewart scored inside the opening 20 minutes as Cowdenbeath cruised to a 3-0 success at Dumbarton. Airdrie United claimed a 2-0 triumph at Livingston thanks to second-half goals from John Boyle and Jamie Bain.
