Falkirk defender Darren Barr has attracted interest from clubs in England and Scotland, according to manager John Hughes.
The 21-year-old has only broken into the Falkirk starting line-up this season but has already been talked about as a future Scotland international.
He again impressed in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Celtic and Hughes says there has been interest, even though Barr is contracted to Falkirk until the summer of 2009.
"Darren is outstanding. He's whole-hearted, listens to everything you say and his performance on Sunday showed you what he is all about," praised Hughes.
"Is he big enough to be an out-and-out centre-half? He certainly jumps his height, but possibly right-back could be his best position.
"He's tied up on a long-term contract but he won't be with me for long, because there has been interest actually.
"I have to be honest, the phone has rang a few times. One call from a club in Scotland, two from down south.
"He's still got a lot to learn, but is committed to the cause and is a winner."
