Hibernian forward Jason Cummings will be available to play against Falkirk this weekend after successfully appealing a one-match ban.

Cummings was booked for his celebration after scoring the opening goal against Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.

The Scottish Football Association had offered the 19-year-old a suspension for making an offensive gesture.

Hibs refuted the offer and a SFA three-man judicial panel reached a ‘not proven’ verdict after the club argued the case at Hampden.

Cummings will be considered for selection along with new arrivals Franck Dja Djedje and Martin Boyle for the game against their fellow promotion hopefuls at Easter Road.

“Hibernian can confirm the club has been successful at today’s hearing with the SFA’s judicial panel at Hampden and that striker Jason Cummings will be available for selection for Saturday’s Scottish Championship match against Falkirk at Easter Road,” a statement from Hibernian read.

“As a result, Cummings will be eligible to feature in Hibernian’s attack for the upcoming match against fellow play-off contenders Falkirk and could potentially line up alongside new signings, Franck Dja Djedje and Martin Boyle.”
