SPFL: Hibernian snatch late 3-2 win over Cowdenbeath

Image: Jason Cummings snatches late winner for Hibernian

Jason Cummings' injury-time goal earned HIbernian a dramatic 3-2 win over Cowdenbeath at Easter Road

Jordon Forster's header from Matthew Kennedy's cross had given the home side the lead but goals from Sean Higgins and Jon Robertson gave the visitors the advantage before the hour.

Dominique Malonga's penalty levelled matters 13 minutes from time before Cummings' late, decisive intervention gave Alan Stubbs' side their first league win in four games.

A quick free-kick routine had led to Hibs' opening goal (26) and Kennedy and Forster had other chances to extend the lead before the break.

Higgins got on the end of a low cross to equalise for Cowdenbeath (49) and the away side hit the bar before some slack defending allowed Robertson to put the visitors in front.

When Forster was pulled back (77) the linesman flagged and Malonga fired in from the penalty spot. The pressure grew as the home side poured forward and Cummings brought the home fans to their feet when he latched onto Malonga's knockdown to hook home the winner four minutes into added time.
