Recently-arrived Hibernian goalkeeper Sean Murdoch is determined to wrestle the No.1 jersey from Ben Williams.

The 26-year-old has signed a short-term deal at Easter Road but will get to work immediately in establishing himself as Pat Fenlon's first choice.

He said: "This is possibly the shortest contract I've signed, but I don't mind that. It's all down to me to show what I can do.

"I
believe in myself and I am here to play if called upon, not to just mope about and turn out for the
U20 side.

"I am here to play first team games. I wouldn't have joined the club if I didn't feel I was capable of being No.1

"I know I am up against a top goalkeeper in Ben; he has been one of our most consistent performers.

"Ben has been in the game longer than me and he has played a lot more games than me, but we both know how
being a goalkeeper works."
