Skysports.com understands Scunthorpe defender Michael Nelson is set to leave the club during this month's transfer window. Nelson has found himself down the pecking order at Scunthorpe in recent weeks and it is believed they are ready to let him move on as part of a squad restructuring programme. The news has alerted a host of clubs in England and Scotland to Nelson's availability on a free transfer this month The 31-year-old, who joined Scunthorpe from Norwich last January, is thought to be attracting interest from several SPL and League One clubs. Nelson's agent, Clive Hart, has confirmed the player will be looking for a new club this month and is keeping his options open. "It looks like Michael will be leaving Scunthorpe this month as part of a squad restructuring at the club," Hart told skysports.com. "There has been interest from a couple of SPL clubs and several English sides and we will evaluate all offers. "We will take our time as it is important at this stage of Michael's career we find the right club for him.
