Skysports.com understands that former Hibernian striker Derek Riordan could be set for a move to Chinese outfit Shaanxi Chanba.
The 28-year-old is still looking for a club after leaving Easter Road when his contract expired in May.
Riordan has flown to China to take a look at Shaanxi and decide whether he wants to agree what would likely prove to be a lucrative deal.
Houston Dynamo had shown an interest in the former Celtic forward earlier in the summer, but the MLS side said that they doubted they could reach an agreement over a salary.
Skysports.com also reported at the end of May that Blackburn were weighing up a move for Riordan.
