Hibernian youngster David Wotherspoon is hoping the club get a positive result against Maribor.
Hibs' continental campaign kicks off on Thursday with a Europa League third round qualifier against the Slovenian outfit.
The Easter Road side have been preparing for the match in Holland and Wotherspoon believes the trip provided the ideal preparations.
"We are expecting the match to be played in hot conditions, so it was good to be able to prepare in such a warm climate," explained the 20-year-old.
"Often it can be hard to adjust to the heat, so now we are used to that heading into the game on Thursday. It is really exciting and I cannot wait - hopefully I will get a piece of the action.
"It is really important that we start off positively and it would be great to get that first win in Europe."
