Hibernian have moved to tie down a trio of key players to new deals.
Ivan Sproule, Scott Brown (pictured) and Kevin Thomson have committed themselves to the capital outfit, with the latter tied to the club until 2010 and his team-mates pledging their futures to Hibs until 2009.
Hibees boss Tony Mowbray has expressed delight at being able to ensure the trio will be part of his long-term strategy.
"Everyone at the club is delighted that Scott, Kevin and Ivan have agreed to sign these new contracts and made long term commitments to Hibernian football club," Mowbray told the club's website. "It's good that they all see Easter Road as the right place for their continued development as football players and that their progress is being rewarded.
"These new deals demonstrate that we are already planning ahead for next season and beyond.
"It also shows that the club is really committed to keeping our best young players together and develop the team to the next level."
