Hibernian defender David Murphy has picked up a thigh injury.

Hibernian have been dealt a blow with the news that David Murphy has picked up a thigh injury.

The defender picked up a thigh injury in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Dundee United and manager Tony Mowbray expects him to be out for around a fortnight.

"We are probably going to leave David out for a week or two," Hibs manager Tony Mowbray told the Evening News.

Hibs are battling hard to fend off the challenge of Aberdeen and city rivals Hearts for third place which will secure a place in Europe.
