Well bag Hamilton

Motherwell have signed Livingston striker Jim Hamilton.

Motherwell have signed Livingston striker Jim Hamilton.

Hamilton has arrived at Fir Park on a free transfer and he has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal at Motherwell.

Motherwell boss Terry Butcher has been chasing Hamilton for some time and was delighted to bring him to the club.

"He is an experienced striker who has scored goals at all of his clubs, and he is a bit different to what we have which gives us a bit of variety," Butcher told the club's official website.

"If we can get decent crosses into the box he will score goals for Motherwell.

"He goes straight into the squad for Saturday and hopefully he can make an impact right away."

Motherwell have also brought in Hibernian defender John Kane with the youngster inking an 18-month deal at the club.
