Kilmarnock have confirmed the return of Gary Locke as assistant manager.
Locke, who spent seven years as a player at Rugby Park, will be reunited with former Hearts and Killie team-mate Allan Johnston.
The 39-year-old lost his job as Hearts manager last month despite winning more points than Hibernian last season with a youthful squad, although he could not keep the club up after being faced with a transfer embargo and 15-point penalty.
Locke replaces Sandy Clark, who followed Johnston from Queen of the South last summer before stepping down at the end of the campaign.
Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston told STV: "I'm delighted to welcome Gary back to Rugby Park.
"He was a very popular figure and a great leader in the dressing room during his seven years as a player with Kilmarnock and those qualities, together with his recent management experience in the Premiership, made him our principal target for the post of assistant manager.
"Allan Johnston and Gary have spent many years together as youth and senior players in the past and share a mutual understanding of what's required to bring success to Rugby Park. They are both winners by nature - every match will be a contest they want to win."
