Moussa and Bouzid to learn their fate by the end of the week

Nottingham Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll says a decision on the future of trialists Franck Moussa and Ismael Bouzid will be made by the end of the week. Both hopefuls figured for Forest during a 2-1 friendly defeat to Mansfield Town on Saturday. Moussa is a Belgian winger who spent time working with O'Driscoll during a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers and is currently available as a free agent following his release by Leicester City. Bouzid is an Algeria international defender who spent two years with SPL outfit Motherwell between 2009 and 2011. Forest have taken the opportunity to have a close look at the pair in training and are mulling over whether or not to offer them a permanent deal. The Reds are in need of fresh faces and O'Driscoll is keen to piece a competitive squad together as soon as possible. He told the Nottingham Evening Post: "We are trying to do due diligence on the trialists we have here.

Recommendation

"We have to start trimming them down. We have to get to the point where, as they do in the Premier League, we are able to pick our squad of 25 and say - this is it. "Our squad is not likely to be 25, but we need to whittle it down to a position where we know what our squad is. "We had Franck on loan at Doncaster and he has been at Leicester, so we are aware of him and what he has to offer. "He is technically a very good player, he can play in a number of positions. He has a goal in him as well, as you saw on Saturday, when he had the best chances of the first half. "I have always liked Franck, he is out of contract now, so we are having a look. Ismael is the same as well. He is an Algerian international who came on Adlene's (Guedioura) recommendation. "We have invited him along to training and we are taking a good look at him. If anything will happen with either player, it will happen this week."
