Forward eager for first-team football

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has confirmed striker Josh Magennis can leave the club in the January transfer window. The Northern Ireland international has struggled to break into the Dons first team this season, making just seven appearances. The 21-year-old, who moved to the SPL side from Cardiff in 2010, is out of contract at the end of the season. However, Brown has revealed he is willing to let the striker leave this month in order to find regular first-team football. "Josh's agent telephoned me to ask about his situation because he had not been getting a regular first-team game," said Brown. "I have to stress that I didn't call the agent in an effort to get rid of him. I'm in no hurry to see him leave as I have always said that he has great potential. "But if he believes it would be better to go elsewhere to play regularly then we won't stand in his way."
