Celtic boss Neil Lennon has taken former PSV midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim on trial and is also hoping to finalise a new deal for Lukasz Zaluska.

Lennon also keen to finalise a new contract for Zaluska

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has taken former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim on trial and is also hoping to finalise a new deal for goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska. Ibrahim recently negotiated his departure from Dutch club PSV and is now aiming to earn a move to SPL side Celtic. Lennon is playing down the prospects of the 20-year-old signing for the Bhoys, but is keen to give the Nigerian a chance to shine. "He is on trial," said Lennon. "We have got him in for a few days. We are just going to have a look at him in training this week. "I know he has had a decent career up until now and he trained on Saturday and looked quite handy but again nothing more than that, just to have a look."

Great professional

Meanwhile, Lennon is talking to back-up keeper Zaluska over a new contract and is optimistic an agreement can be reached. He added: "I have had a chat with Lukasz this week and I'll speak to him again early in the week and hopefully we can get it resolved. "I don't think we're far away now. I hope he will sign. We would like to keep him. "He is very good back-up and a great professional as well. Whenever he comes in he does a good job for me."
