Ipswich, Boro & Palace eye Bolton ace

Skysports.com understands Championship trio Ipswich, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace are chasing Bolton ace Mark Connolly. Connolly's current deal at the Reebok Stadium expires at the end of the season and the news has alerted a number of clubs to his possible availability, with the 20-year-old highly-regarded at the Reebok Stadium. Connolly joined Bolton from Wolves in the summer of 2009 as a 17-year-old for a fee of £1million and has been tipped for a big future in the game. The Republic of Ireland Under 21 international has yet to make his debut for the Bolton first-team, but was named on the bench for this season's Carling Cup win over Macclesfield. Connolly, who can play anywhere across the back and also in central midfield, is an attractive proposition for the Championship trio as his versatility would make him a valuable addition to any squad.
