Bolton youngster to stay at County Ground for another month

Bolton youngster Tope Obadeyi has extended his loan spell with League One side Swindon. The Birmingham-born striker has impressed since joining the Robins at the start of the season on a one-month loan deal. Having scored one goal from three starts and three substitute appearances, the 19-year-old has now agreed to prolong his stay at the County Ground by another month. "It's good to have it all sorted and I am happy," he told Swindon's official club website. "A lot of things were up in the air but I'm delighted to be staying.

Tremendous experience

"I now want to try to get as many games as I can under my belt and add to my experience. "League One football is tremendous experience and it's all going to help me out. "There are plenty of games coming up and that's great for me. The more I play, hopefully the more I can improve as a player." Obadeyi had hoped to make the England squad for the Under-20 World Cup, which begins on September 24, having already represented the Under-19s and Under-20s. But after missing out on the trip to Egypt, he is focused on keeping Swindon near the top of League One. "England Under-20s have named the World Cup squad with a few fresh names in it but as far as I'm concerned, I'm just concentrating on what's happening here at Swindon," Obadeyi added. "I'm getting used to the pace and the physicality of the game at this level and hopefully I can add a few goals to my tally."
