Paulo Sergio: Has told Kenny Shiels not to discuss Tynecastle matters

Sky Bet

Hearts manager Paolo Sergio has described Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels as 'like a clown' for discussing affairs at Tynecastle.

The Killie tactician stated he would have walked out of the Edinburgh club over Vladimir Romanov's influence over first-team affairs.

Sergio revealed Romanov told him to axe Marian Kello ahead of their 1-1 Scottish Cup draw with St Johnstone last week.

Shiels would not have stood for Romanov's behaviour, stating 'principles' are more important and that he would rather maintain his 'trust with his players'.

However, Sergio has laughed off his comments believing he should focus on affairs at Rugby Park and not worry about what is going on elsewhere.

The Portuguese tactician has sarcastically stated everyone can learn from Shiels' wisdom, including managerial greats Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho.

Comedy

"It's like a clown. I'm saving money every single day when I open newspapers, instead of going to stand-up comedy and paying for a ticket," Sergio said of Shiels.

"Every single morning I have a big laugh when I open the newspapers. The man is just speaking about the others. He's not speaking about his own team or job.

"Everybody should be learning with him. I'm sure Alex Ferguson every single day is reading these things because there are lots of things to learn there.

"With all the titles and the leagues he has won in the past he has this right. We all in football should learn with him. Mourinho has a lot to learn with him.

"Now I understand why everybody in the game here is speaking so badly about him. He should listen to what his players say about him instead of sticking his nose into other teams' (business).

"He should look to inside his team."
