John Sutton: On the verge of a loan move to Central Coast Mariners in Australia
Manager Paulo Sergio has confirmed John Sutton is on the verge of a move from Hearts to Central Coast Mariners in Australia.
The striker was signed by Sergio's predecessor Jim Jefferies but has had a peripheral role since the Portuguese tactician took over and is now set for a loan move to the A-League.
Sergio told Hearts TV: "We have lost John Sutton to Australia and we will see what's going to happen."
Ryan Stevenson joined Ipswich after severing ties at Hearts over frustrations at wage delays, but the anticipated exodus of first-team players failed to materialise.
Sergio has told his players performing well for Hearts is the best way to seal a move away from Tynecastle in future.
He said: "Our focus and our talks with the players is to be focused.
"Anyone that wants to make a movement to improve his situation should do a good job for the team and afterwards, things come naturally."
