Hollis set for Motherwell move

Former Airdrie goalkeeper Lee Hollis has agreed to join Motherwell and will sign a deal this week.

Shot-stopper poised to join Scottish club

Former Airdrie goalkeeper Lee Hollis will sign a deal with Motherwell later this week. The 24-year-old stopper will become the Scottish club's first summer signing when he signs a one-year contract on Thursday. Hollis was released from Airdrie, along with the rest of the squad, at the end of last season after coming through the youth ranks at New Broomfield. He told Motherwell's official website: "I am really looking forward to joining up with Motherwell, it's a massive opportunity for me. "Last season ended in massive disappointment but I really can't wait to get going and hopefully it will be a successful partnership. "I have known (Motherwell goalkeeping coach) Stewart Kerr for quite some time, having worked with him for a year at Airdrie, so it'll be great to see a familiar face when training starts at the end of this month."
