Keeper ends speculation over his future

Kilmarnock goalkeeper Alan Combe has agreed a new deal to keep him at Rugby Park. Combe's existing deal was due to expire in the summer which would have meant he could have left on a free transfer. The likes of Hearts, Hibernian and Dundee United had all been linked with the former Bradford custodian, but Combe has decided to extend his stay at Killie. The new deal will keep Combe at Killie until 2011, with the option of another year and the 34-year-old has admitted he had turned down interest from other clubs to stay with the Ayrshire outfit. "I've shaken hands on a new deal, it's all been agreed and I will sign it on Saturday," said Combe. "There was interest from other clubs including some in England, but I didn't want to leave Kilmarnock as I get on with everyone at the club, the manager Jim Jefferies and all the players."
