Mauricio Pinilla is confident that he can show his true worth to the Hearts faithful next season.
The well travelled Chilean spent the close of last season back in his homeland with Universidad de Chile but is now keen to return to Edinburgh.
Pinilla scored twice in four appearances for Hearts last term and he is confident that he will make a favourable impression upon his return to Scotland, following what was a difficult return to Chile.
"After the bad moment that I had at Universidad de Chile and the lies that have been said in the press about my private life, I am happy to say that it has been confirmed that I am going to return to Hearts where I expect to have a good season," he said to La Tercera.
"From now on I expect to read news in the papers about me saying that I have played well.
"I am not an actor from Hollywood so I hope I will have a good campaign at Hearts and then the chance to return to Inter, because that is my dream. If I have a good pre-season then I am going to have success in the next season.
"In addition, it's important for me that this time I will be in Europe with my family.
"My idea is to get totally fit and then I will play again for the Chilean national team in the first match of the South American qualifiers, in October, against Argentina."
