HEARTS defender Andy Webster has been named Scottish Premier League young player of the month for April.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a tremendous month in April making his international debut for Scotland against Austria.

Webster is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Scotland.

The former Arbroath defender helped Hearts remain unbeaten in April as they look to secure third spot in the SPL and a place in the Uefa Cup.

The award caps a double for the Edinburgh club with Hearts boss Craig Levein being voted manager of the month.
