O'Dea and McGinn among the players to follow Cha out the door

Celtic have confirmed the release of another four players as boss Neil Lennon continues to trim the SPL champions' squad. Shortly after defender Cha Du-Ri joined Fortuna Dusseldorf, the Hoops confirmed that Niall McGinn, Dominic Cervi, Darren O'Dea and Richie Towell would follow him out the Parkhead door. Irishman O'Dea reported last week that he had come to an amicable agreement with chief executive Peter Lawwell to end his stay with the champions while compatriot Towell leaves after a season on loan at Hibernian. Cervi, a former USA Under 23 international goalkeeper, figured in a number of testimonial and friendlies but never managed a first-team appearance for Celtic. And McGinn, who moved to Parkhead from Derry City in 2009, leaves the club he supported as a boy following a season-long loan deal with Brentford. In a statement on the club's official website, Celtic said: "Everyone here would like to thank all four players for their contribution over the year and the leave with the club's best wishes."
