Striker joins on three-year contract from Stoke
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed striker Adam Rooney from Stoke City for an initial fee of £50,000.
Rooney had been expected to join the SPL side on a season-long loan, however it has been confirmed that the 20-year-old has penned a three-year contract at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in a deal that could rise to £75,000.
The youngster impressed Caley Thistle manager Craig Brewster during a trial period with the club, and is now poised to make his competitive bow on Saturday against Hamilton.
Brewster told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have finally secured Adam after a patient wait to get the deal done.
"He looked impressive for us during the Denmark pre-season trip and I am confident he will do well over the duration of his three year deal."
Rooney added: "I am really pleased to be here after enjoying my time with the squad in Denmark. I am desperate to prove myself at SPL level and can't wait to get playing."
