Aberdeen winger Chris Clark has signed a contract extension to stay at Pittodrie until 2009.

Clark came through the ranks of his only club and has made 168 appearances, scoring seven goals, for his home-town team.

He has been rewarded for his commitment to The Dons, with a two-year top-up to his previous deal.

The 25-year-old played in a variety of positions for Aberdeen last season, but is hoping to start on the left wing this term.

Jimmy Calderwood's (pictured) side kick off the new SPL campaign at Hibernian on Saturday and Clark will head into the game buoyed by his contract extension.
