Motherwell celebrated their escape from relegation with a resounding 6-2 home triumph over Livingston which included a quickfire hat-trick for James McFadden.
McFadden gave the perfect reply to Scotland boss Bertie Vogts, who relegated him to the Under-21 squad for Scotland's game against Germany next week with goals on 64 and 75 minutes sandwiching a spot-kick success on 74.
Lee Makel (16) had put Livi in front but Keith Lasley (29) made sure it was even at half time and, although Colin McMenamin put the away side back in front on 54 minutes, that was as good as it got for Jim Leishman and his players
Steven Craig quickly made it 2-2 and McFadden then helped himself to an eleven minute treble with Keith Lasley adding another on the stroke of full time to complete the rout.
Hibs suffered a disappointing last day home defeat to a spirited Partick Thistle side.
Mathias Jack gave the Easter Road faithful an early success but that was cancelled out by experienced front-man Gerry Britton.
17-year-old Scott Brown followed up his double against Livingston with a second for Hibs but second half goals by David Rowson (52) and Alex Burns (86) gave John Lambie the perfect send off as he leaves the Firhill club.
A young Aberdeen team finished their season on a high note as two strikes in four minutes, just after half time, from Darren Mackie and Steve Tosh gave them all three points away at Dundee United meaning the men from Pittodrie have only lost one of their last nine matches.
