ABERDEEN youngster Chris Clark has been handed a new and improved contract with the club.

The 21-year-old was signed until 2003 but the club has given him improved terms on the deal as a reward for his performances.

The Dons are keen to keep producing young players who are capable of breaking into the first team at Pittodrie.

The winger has only played twice for Ebbe Skovdahl's side this season, but is a key member of the side after he started 17 times for the club last season.

"Young players are the lifeblood of the club and Chris, like the other youngsters at Aberdeen, knows he will be rewarded as he establishes himself in the first team, "said a club spokesman.
