Killie boss drawing admiring glances from afar

Sky Sports understands that a number of English clubs are keeping a close eye on Kenny Shiels' contract situation at Kilmarnock. The highly-rated coach has seen his stock rise this season after guiding Killie to League Cup success. The vultures are now starting to circle, with his current deal at Rugby Park set to expire at the end of the season. He admitted on Saturday that he would be happy to remain in his current post, but confirmed that no extension talks have been held as yet. As a result, interested parties are readying themselves for a summer approach. League One outfit Bournemouth are reportedly keen to take Shiels to England, with their hot-seat having been vacated by Lee Bradbury at the end of March. They are looking for an experienced successor to inherit the reins, but are aware that they are not the only ones turning their attention to the Scottish Premier League for coaching talent.
