Defender hopes club will soon find new owners

Dorin Goian admits he hopes Rangers' win over Celtic will convince a new buyer to rescue the Ibrox club. Rangers ensured Celtic did not clinch the SPL title on their home turf with a thrilling 3-2 victory on Sunday. A number of parties have expressed an interest in buying Rangers and taking them out of administration, and Goian hopes the club can get some stability soon. "I am happy at Rangers and we now just hope a new investor will arrive by the summer," Goian told the Daily Record. "But it's difficult to think someone will buy the club because of all the debts left by others. "Hopefully, if and when the debts are smaller, the club will be bought over."

Pressure

Goian revealed the Rangers player were left in no doubt as to how important a win on Sunday at Ibrox was after being inundated by messages from the club's supporters. "The Rangers fans bombarded us with messages and told us we couldn't lose this game," added Goian. "That put some pressure on us but it mobilised us as well and we deserved to win."
