Former Rangers man insists move was right choice

Mervan Celik insists he has no regrets over joining Rangers having left the club less than two months later. The Sweden Under-21 international penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the SPL champions in January following the end of his GAIS deal. However, following the club's move into administration Celik's offer to take voluntary redundancy with no pay-off was accepted. Celik made five substitute appearances in Scotland's top flight and despite his Ibrox stay only being a short one, he does not rue the switch. "I knew their finances were not the best, but I had no idea that this would happen," Celik told GT. "I don't regret that I joined them. It felt like the right choice at the time. "They are not angry, they understand me."
