Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson has declared himself fit for Wednesday's Uefa Cup final against Zenit St Petersburg.
Thomson was Walter Smith's major doubt for the showpiece final after picking up a foot injury in last weekend's win over Dundee United.
The classy midfielder feared he might miss out on the biggest match of his career, but he now looks set to start after coming through a fitness test on Tuesday night.
"My foot is feeling a lot better than it did at the weekend," Thomson told the Daily Record.
"I've had a couple of sleepless nights worrying about this and wondering how it would feel when I did some work.
Fear
"I haven't done a thing since the weekend and the biggest fear was as soon as I started running on it the pain would return but so far so good.
"As long as there's no reaction overnight I'll be fit enough to play in a game that means the world to me."
The former Hibernian man admitted he was desperate to play in the game against Zenit as Rangers look to create history.
"You don't get many chances in your career to play in a match like this and wild horses won't hold me back now," added Thomson
"It would mean everything to this club and to this group of players if we win and create a little bit of history in the process.
"I'm desperate to play my part in it."
