Rangers have completed the signing of Carlos Cuellar from Osasuna.The move ends a long pursuit by Rangers for the 25-year-old defender, who has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox.
Rangers have been trailing Cuellar since last season after he impressed against them in the Uefa Cup.
After weeks of haggling Rangers finally agreed a deal with Osasuna on Thursday and the player has passed a medical and agreed personal terms.
Gers boss Walter Smith was delighted to land Cuellar as he continues his rebuilding plans at Ibrox.
"We're delighted to sign Carlos. We were impressed with him when we went to watch Osasuna before our Uefa Cup tie and also in the tie itself," Smith told the club's official website.
"We then followed up on that and decided to make an offer to Osasuna.
"I'm very pleased that we have now done the deal and I feel sure he will be an excellent addition to our squad."
