Kevin Thomson insists he can live without best friend Scott Brown at Rangers.
Thomson and Brown were split up when the former moved to Ibrox from Hibernian during the transfer window.
Celtic saw an earlier bid to land both players fail, and Rangers stepped in to sign Thomson on a four-and-a-half year deal.
The 22-year-old is now determined to prove he can be as much of a hit without Brown alongside him.
"Just because we're best buddies, have the same agent and were at the same club, we were called this stupid Siamese twins thing," Thomson said.
"Me and Scott used to laugh about it.
"I'm just delighted to move on and get the opportunity to play at a club like this."
Nevertheless, Thomson would encourage Brown to join him at Rangers in the future, if his former team-mate decides to leave Hibs.
He added: "If Scott does move elsewhere in the summer, then I'll wish him all the best.
"I'd love to see him join me here but that's a wee bit down the line.
"If he does decide to leave Easter Road, I'll be on the phone every day pestering him to come here."
