Dado Prso has been given the thumbs up to play for Rangers for at least another year.

The Croatian striker has been hampered by a long-standing knee complaint that had prompted concerns he would have to retire at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old had previously admitted he may have to quit top-level football when his Gers contract expires in the summer.

But the former Monaco hot shot has received an upbeat bulletin from doctors, who feel he can play on for at least one more campaign.

"Dado has been told he can play on for a minimum of one more season," Prso's agent Ranko Stojic told the Daily Record.

"He has had his problems, but is very happy at the moment.

"Dado wants to play on as long as possible and is feeling much better than he was a few weeks ago.

"He will see how things go, but the doctor has said there are no risks for him or his club and there are no problems."

Prso moved to Ibrox in 2004 from Monaco and has scored 37 goals for the club, although he has not played for a month due to a hamstring injury.
