Jerome Rothen has spoken of his delight at returning to first-team action with Paris Saint Germain.
The midfielder was left out in the cold under Guy Lacombe, forced to play most of his football with the reserves.
Rothen's career at PSG looked over, but following the arrival of Paul Le Guen, he is now back in the action.
"I was desperate to play, because I hadn't for such a long time," Rothen told Football365.fr.
"I am very happy, I wanted to do my job correctly.
"It is like a brand new player because I am now part of the group again."
Meanwhile, PSG remain favourites to sign Rangers midfielder Jeremy Clement.
Lyon were keen to bring the 21-year-old back to the Stade Gerland, but Clement would prefer to link up with Le Guen again.
It is expected that Clement will agree a deal with PSG before the weekend.
